Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

NoteVis runs entirely on your device. Nothing you read or save is ever sent to a server, shared with a third party, or used for any purpose outside the extension itself.

What we access

When you click the NoteVis icon or trigger an analysis, the extension reads the text content of the current webpage. This is used solely to generate your summary, key points, and glossary. The content is processed locally by a built-in summarizer and is never transmitted anywhere.

What we store

Notes you choose to save are stored in your browser's local storage using chrome.storage.local. This data lives only on your device. It is not synced, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to anyone other than you.

What we do not collect

NoteVis does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

Personally identifiable information · Browsing history · Analytics or usage data · Crash reports · Location data · Authentication credentials

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics.

Third-party services

NoteVis does not use any third-party APIs, SDKs, or services. The summarizer is built into the extension and runs entirely offline.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
